Paying the bills

It is always nice to dine at fine dining restaurant with your close friends. Good friends with good foods. Or having fun at karaoke center. At the end of day, the bill will shows up and everybody starts to do the calculation.

Well, there are two common ways how are they gonna pay the bills.

1. Each person only pay what she/he had and they will split the tax and service charges among them.
2. They will just look at the total and split it among them regardless who's meal is more pricey.

As for me, I always opt for the second choice because it is much easier to do the calculation and if you are really having a good time with your good friends, why would you bother just to pay extra money for your friends? It is supposed to be everyone's treats right? That's the main idea of it.

But when it comes to have fun and entertainment say like, karaoke. Make sure you bring the right person. I had this bad experience with these peeps. I was bored sitting alone at home and so I decided to tag my house mate and her girlfriends to play bowling. It took us just an hour to finish the game and we didn't want to go back home yet. So I suggested to have karaoke. One of their friends got thrilled with it and she wanted to have karaoke so bad. Apparently, their guy friends whom came from nowhere, were joining us too. I was okay with it. So, there were like 10 of us. I asked the girls whether it's okay with them for the boys to join us and they said yes.

Well, well.. after we got our room and guess what? I was the only girl who sing. Fortunately, the boys are sporting enough. I asked the girls to sing but of course, all shy shy ones. Well, how bout the girl who wanted to sing badly?

She kept scrolling down her playlist and asked me, whether the karaoke machine got this and that song or not. If the songs she asked are the hit songs or anything from Britney Spears, I think I can help it but all the songs that she asked are the one that is not popular and of course the karaoke machine didn't have it! I was like.. blergh.

The worst part is, they didn't even have fun. Or maybe they just didn't even know how to have fun with karaoke! You see, I tend to get hype when microphone is in my hand. I will jump on the couch like nobody's business and sing my lungs out. Usually when I go with my friends, all of us gonna do some stupid dance or at least shake our bodies and sing along. But they... can you imagine this. I was singing 'Generasiku' by OAG and keep "ohh, ohhh ohh!!" and all of them were looking at the screen with a boring and zombie-kind-of face. It was.. annoying! Really spoil my mood. They were like dead men! Pfft!

And I thought that's it. Then the waiter sent the bills. Jeng jeng jeng!
The total was RM100 for 10 pax. So by logical thinking, of course you know that you need to pay RM10 for each person. But it didn't turn out that way. I was disappointed when the girls refused to pay and gave the excuse;

"I didn't sing, why should I pay?"

So yeah, I paid for them.
RM50 for two hours of karaoke.
Really pissed me off.
The thing is, I've asked them first and they said they were okay with it.

I've learnt my lesson there. You should NEVER EVER go out and have fun with the person that you barely know. Go have fun with your buddies because you know them better and you guys just know how to rock out.

or else.

you gonna tear a BIG hole in your wallet.
