Bonnie's Ringworm Treatment Day 1

Since today we only got one Airbnb unit to clean, I asked my husband to go and do it alone because I don't feel like going to work today. Plus, the condition of our messy kitchen bothers me alot. I really need to clean it up today.

The kitchen wasn't THAT messy or dirty but I haven't got a chance to do proper cleaning since two weeks ago because we were too caught up with our packed working schedule. My husband did help washing the dishes but his level of cleanliness is not up to my standard. Upon checking, I found few missed spots on the utensils and the plates. Hence, I need to wash them again. I also cleaned up the kitchen stove and washed the kitchen sink. I wish I could do more but I need to give my cat, Bonnie a bath with a special anti-fungal soap.

After done cleaning the kitchen, I gave Bonnie a bath. I really hope this soap will help to treat the skin infection and at least kill the bacteria that lies on the skin surface. So, how does Bonnie, a house and indoor cat got infected with ringworm (kurap)? This is due to my husband's careless mistake for petting a random stray cat with kurap. Well, of course the bacteria got into his hands and he didn't wash hands when returning from outside and held Bonnie ignorantly. Pfft.

In the beginning of infection, his body temperature was warmer than usual for few days then I noticed something was off with his ears. (I love to kiss his ears. That's how I spotted the changes). The next thing I knew, the fur began to fell off and ringworm lesion began to appear. We brought him to see a veterinar at a government hospital but the injection didn't seem to work so I resorted to buy medicine through Shopee and gave him proper treatment - oral, soap and topical cream. Sigh. I miss kissing him and I knew Bonnie longing for it too. Bonnie is a very manja cat. He is affectionate and loves to be caress. He likes to kiss me on my mouth and nose but I need to avoid from doing that because my skin is sensitive and prone to get infected with skin related bacteria and virus. Poor my baby. He must've been missing my caress badly.

Later at night, I gave him the oral medication by crushing the tablet and mix it with soft food and re-apply the topical cream. He had to sleep with Elizabethan collar tonight. It's day one of proper treatment and I'm hoping to see positive result by 10th day.
