Goodbye Semenanjung, Welcome Sarawak!

FYI, I got selected for Program Latihan Khidmat Negara (PLKN) Kumpulan 2 Siri 5 2008 at Kem Putra Sentosa, Sematan, Sarawak.

I woke up at 5 AM and get ready for the big day. My family sent me to Stadium Bukit Jalil as the buses that take us to LCCT were there.


Somehow, I was lucky because a good friend a friend of mine got same camp with me. Ailin, she was my tuition mate. We both were so freaking excited when got to know we got the same camp. At least, we felt we can depend on each other.

Then, it turned out to be that my bus was the last bus and there was like only 6 people in the bus! I was pretty much excited in making new friends so I went to one by one and introduced myself and tried to make friends with them. I was happy because they weren't cold especially the guy name Fahim. He was sitting at the back of the bus, reading his novel and surely look like some kind of loner. He was the guy that my sisters were talked about.

Sisters: Anis, anis. Check out that loner guy over there. He's quite handsome lah.
Me: Where? .... Oh yeah. Not bad lah. But dang, he's to skinny man. And too tall also.. and where the hell his parents? Got here by himself??
Sisters: Hey, that doesn't matter. Just go approach him and ask his name lah.
Me: Sure I will... *sigh*

Then, I found out that he's actually an easy going person. We got along pretty well since then. During flight, I became jakun when the plane gone up and I admit, it's been ages since I had my last flight. I got excited to see the clouds and the scenery. =P Unfortunately, it was raining in Kuching and I can't really enjoy the scenery of the green land from the above.

After 1 hour and 45 minutes, (the flight took some time due to the bad weather) we reached Kuching International Airport and straight away got into the bus to go to the camp. On the way to Sematan, the line coverage wasn't so clear. Some of us went like, "Omigod! Where are we? There's no coverage over here", "Oh my! I can't reach my mom! We're in the middle of nowhere! I wanna go home!"

The trip to the camp took us about less than 2 hours from the airport. All of us assembled in the hall and I was surprised to see other trainees whom already got here before us. The trainers checked our luggage to make sure there's no illegal stuff and then we were divided into four companies. I got into Delta company.

After had our dinner, we went up to the dorm and there's nothing else I wanted to do than freshen up my body with shower and lay down in my bed. It was really a tiring day for us.
