Ali Aiman Who?

A few months ago, a friend of mine introduced Ali Aiman's music to me. I don't really listen to local talents, not because I don't appreciate them or whatsoever. It's just that I'm not the type of person who likes to discover them unless some peers introduced them to me or I see they perform at some events. So, this Ali fella, is so damn good! When I first listened to his single, Morning Sun, I thought he is a British male singer but no, he is a Malay guy! Because the song stuck in my head, so I decided to listen to his first EP titled Overture.

And I must say, his EP is impressive! He creates and produces his own music. I couldn't even tell what is his genre but it's the type of music that feeds my soul mainly because he plays keyboard? I'm very fond of keyboard and piano. I'm no good in reviewing music or artists but you should really check him out!

'Cover You' is one of my favourite songs from him

I don't really go to music event but when I do, it's because of the free admission and I want to see his live performance. The thing about musicians are, they tend to render and make some tweak to their songs when they perform on stage. This is the reason why it's always worth it to see their stage performance.

Here is the live version of Morning Sun that day. He performed four songs that evening and they were such an eargasm to me! What I like the most about him is that he enjoyed performing on stage, entertaining the crowd and smiled alot. He is pretty charming in a person too! But too bad lads, he's already engaged to his girlfriend!

After his performance, I also discovered Malaysian electronic pop duo namely Juno and Hanna. They're siblings and their music is pretty much my current jam!

Overall, I had a good time watching local talents performing at Sounds Good 2!

If I Were A Boy Remix Versions

I browsed youtube just now and as expected, there will always be the "great" attempt of I've-got-nothing-better-to-do people to do the reply song for the If I Were A Boy by Beyonce. But there are two versions that I like.
Featuring R. Kelly

Featuring Lee Carr

Here are the lyrics.

Featuring R. Kelly
If I were a boy
even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
and throw on what I wanted and go
Drink beer with the guys
and chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
and I'd never get confronted for it
cause they stick up for me

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If you were a boy
Then girl you’d understand
You need to stop listenin’ to your friends
Love, respect and trust your man
So I go to clubs with the guys and sometimes flirt with the girls
I should be able to roll out as long as I’m comin’ home to you
And give you the world
But you’re not a boy so you don’t have a clue
How I work and pay the bills girl everything I do is for you

I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
If I were a girl
I would turn off my phone
I wouldn’t play games
Tell everyone it's broken
so they'd think that I was sleeping alone
Girl you know that’s wrong

I’d put myself first
and make the rules as I go
Cause I know that she’ll be faithful,
waiting for me to come home, to come home.

But you’re not a boy
So you can’t understand
You are not a perfect woman and I am not a perfect man

I'd listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
And I know how you feel
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed
Said I’m sorry

It's a little too late for you to come back
But I can’t let you go cause I’m too attached
If you thought I would wait for you
you thought wrong
But you're just a boy

Featuring Lee Carr
If I were a boy even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted and go
Drink beer with the guys and chase after girls
I'd kick it who I wanted and I'd never get confronted for it..
cause they'd stick up for me...

If I were a boy I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man
I'd listen to her cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a girl even just for a day
I'd get out of the bed in the morning and take forever to get ready
Complain to my friends as if they got a man
They talk about you cause they're jealous
and I just stay and listen to it
(I should get rid of them)

If I were a girl I don't think I'd understand
How it feels to love a boy
I swear I'd be a better woman
I'd listen to him cause I don't know everything
I would always try to tell him
That he needs to treat me better like I don't got to change at all
If I were a girl...

It's a little too late for you to come back
Say it's just a mistake,
Think I'd forgive you like that?
(I don't)
If you thought I would wait for you,
You thought wrong
(I did wrong)

But you're just a boy...
And you're just a girl...
You don't understand
No. You don't understand
How it feels to love a girl someday
You wish you were a better man
you don't listen to her
(and you don't listen to him)
You don't care how it hurts
(you don't care how I feel)
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause you've taken her for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

But you're just a boy..
And you're just a girl...

If I Were a Boy

I must say, this song has been stuck in my head ever since I heard it for the very first time. I found that both of the lyrics and video clips are interesting. The lyrics are actually not telling a story of a man as a lover but it's about how a man treats his lady. I'm gonna use the terms boy and girl now. Roughly, the song is about a girl putting herself in his boy's shoes. She thought that she would treat herself better if she was him. Somehow, the lyrics show that there are two type of typical men. First, the "bad boy" and second, is the "good boy".

If I were a boy
Even just for a day
I’d roll outta bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted then go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
I’d kick it with who I wanted
And I’d never get confronted for it.
Cause they’d stick up for me.

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I’d be a better man.
I’d listen to her
Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
Cause he’s taken you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

If I were a boy
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it’s broken
So they’d think that I was sleepin’ alone
I’d put myself first
And make the rules as I go
Cause I know that she’d be faithful
Waitin’ for me to come home (to come home)

It’s a little too late for you to come back
Say its just a mistake
Think I’d forgive you like that
If you thought I would wait for you
You thought wrong

But you’re just a boy
You don’t understand
Yeah you don’t understand
How it feels to love a girl someday
You wish you were a better man
You don’t listen to her
You don’t care how it hurts
Until you lose the one you wanted
Cause you’ve taken her for granted
And everything you have got destroyed
But you’re just a boy

Obviously the last two parts are the girl's thoughts. As for the video clip, I love to see Beyonce dressed as a policewoman. The uniform is way sexier than the original ones. Haha. Okayh, I like the video concept. The guy was being sweet. From the beginning until the half of the video showing her in the boy's position and at the scene where they both were having conversation is the twisting part. The truth is, she has been imagined herself in the guy's position and everything is went back to normal when Beyonce said, "What?" and the guy replied, "I said, why are you so jealous? It's not like I'm sleeping with the girl". At that point, from her imagination switched back to reality where the fact that the guy is the cop and he flirts with his co-worker.

MCR Live In KL!!

THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!!

Finally I can cross the sentence out in my wishlist.

Go to MCR concert and see them perform live!

One word to describe the concert... it was.. BLAST!!
Even though Bob (drummer) didn't make it, but the others performed very well and I must say, to see their efforts are totally worth it! I'm not regretting it at all for having MCR concert as the first concert in my life! ^^ Plus, I went with Asyraf! xD

I arrived at Stadium Merdeka around 6 PM and rushed to the original MCR merchandise booth. I get myself an Industry Juniors T-Shirt and a poster. The original merchandise that available were pretty limited. There were only one design of poster, 4 designs of shirts and some notebooks. That's all. =| Actually, I wanted to buy a MCR Hoodie but they're all sold out before get into Malaysia. And my my.. I was surprised to see lots of ciplak shirts and stuff at the stadium. So I bought another one, the very simple black t-shirt with MCR fonts on it.

However rain started to pour down before the concert started but still, all the audiences barely leave their current position. I think the opening show was okay. I didn't listen to One Buck Shot but I guess Pop Shuvit did a good job for spicing up the ground. And I was relieved when they (the organizer) stopped the show and audio during Maghrib. Maybe for about 30 minutes I think. After waited for so long, finally My Chem showed up themselves in the darkness.

The stage went blackout and then xylophone music is heard. Meantime, the big banner of MCR in House of Wolves version was raising up on the stage. We all screamed and shouted like hell when all four of them appeared on the stage. The first song that being played was This Is How I Disappear. Then followed by other songs from The Black Parade album and a few songs from Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album.

Since I'm not so tall, I can hardly see the stage. I just depended on those not-so-big LCD screens. Something highly amusing I found was the boys' hairstyles. Mikey and Frank are having the same hairsyles. The long and silky fringe that cover up their faces. Ray Toro's looked exactly like a mee maggie. =P and last but not least, Gerard is having the same hairstlye that he had during the early year of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge's age.

THREE things that made the concert totally worth it were.. firstly, Gerard's singing and showmanship, second was the peeps around me and third, the played songs. I must say, I was awed by Gerard's singing because I thought his singing would be bad. Something like incorrect pitching or tone and such but it turned out to be amazing. He sang all the songs very well. There's no goofy sounds or whatsoever. Anywhoo, I was relieved to see that Gerard kept standing and walk on the stage but not lying down. ^^ Do you know how much I loved the atmosphere? I jumping, singing, screaming and shouting like the others. I really enjoyed myself and losing control. Plus, there's NO BITCHY girls around me. There's absolutely no "Gee/Mikey/Frank-my-baby-oh-goddamn-hot" and and, I didn't see any big group of gothic and emo people. The people who went there are all the normal and non-label type. =) Most of the songs that being played are also my favourite ones. What more could I ask for? I also couldn't disagree that they've played very hard for us! As always, Gerard reminds his fans not to harm ourselves. Sort of like a community message. He always does that in every concert.

After a while, I got fed up for can't see anything on the stage. Haha. I begged Asyraf to get me on his back. =P Hahahahahaha. He refused at first because he's getting tired but he really did it only for a couple of minutes. Huhuh. Even though it's only for 2 minutes but too see My Chem on the stage.... made me speechless. ^^ Speaking of him, I envied him because he memorized most of the lyrics more than I do! (for The Black Parade album) Damnyo.. Ouh ouh.. have I mentioned about the rain? To tell you the truth, it was raining throughout the concert. So we all get soaked from head to toe!

After our feet started to lose from the ground, they began to slow down and played slow songs. Ray played solo and show off his damn great guitar skills. It was jaw-dropping I tell you! Simply awesome! After almost 2 hours, the concert finally meets the end. The annoying part was, the rain stopped when the concert stopped! What the..?? As people leaves the stadium, I busy taking pictures.

By the time I got home, my back, my neck and my arms were hurting so much...! Maybe because of too much headbanging. But yeah, that's the good one! I'M EFFING SATISFIED WITH THEM!!

Thanks for the memories MCR!!!!!

Something that makes me proud =D

I took this from Yi Ling's latest post. Thanks pal!! I LOOOVE you YI LING!!! xD

OMG!!!!!!!!!!

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS COMING TO MALAYSIA ON DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK GOD SPM IS OVER ALREADY BY THAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warning : Music post ahead. you might not understand a word.

Well. I think I never mention in my blog about this.
After passing grade 8, I still continue my piano but this time, I'm learning jazz.

Jazz class seriously rock.

But very hard also.

All the new chords such as chord 9 to 1 and playing by triads etc.
Then I learn many different types of music genres such as Beguine, Bossa Nova, Funk, Latin, Pop, Rock, etc etc etc etc.

Learning jazz seriously changed the way I listen to music.

I've been playing all the MCR songs lately.

And MCR not only rock in rock. They rock in writing music.

For example.

For the song "Cancer", they used borrow chords.
Musicians who knows how to use borrow chords are geniuses.

Then for "Welcome To The Black Parade" they changed 3 keys. Which kinda made me crazy because I tried to play this song by ear with piano. *crazy face*

Then..... alot more songs... just plain genius of them.

I even tried to play "Mama" on piano. LOL. very susah i tell you.

Then singers/composers such as Jay Chou and Lee Hom, they used alot of different chords style in their composing. Which makes them genuises.

Now I get bored really fast with songs that has uninteresting chords. (eg - I vi v from start till the end)

xDDDD
That really makes me wanna go AGAGAGAGAG!!

Hehehe.. I don't know whether you guys familiar with the lyrics or not but that's the song for the new Pepsi TV Commercial. I'm totally in love with the new design of Pepsi and the commercial is pretty cool! That makes me can't stop singing the song too! ^^

Want you to know, you made me happy

I believe most of you have seen the Sony Ericsson W880i TV Commercial. The one that shows a couple celebrating their anniversary. It's so simple yet pretty cute! I really love that commercial! And the song, is so captivating. I've heard this song in the commercial and I have been singing it ever since.

I wonder how would it be if the guy received a message saying,

"Hey honey. Where have you been? I miss you so much. When will you come back? Please be here tonight. I need you.."

Hahahha! For sure there's no longer anniversary for them. =P

And here is the full song. Want You To Know by The Freelance Hellraiser.

Want you to know you made me happy
Want you to know you make me sad
Want you to know you made me happy
You are the best thing that I never had

The full song is different from what I had in my mind. I thought it would be romantic but it's different.. But still okay ;)

And I just heard this song, Tercipta Untukku by Ungu. I must say, I like this song too much! Can't get out of my head! >.<

My Favorite Break-Up Songs

Regarding the previous post, I would like to share you my favorite break-up songs. Huhu. Actually I tend to like break up songs more than other songs. It's easy to fall in love with the lyrics and music too. ;) Here's some of my favorite break up songs.
  1. Yesterday's Letter by 98 Degrees
  2. My Happy Ending by Avril Lavigne
  3. It's True By Backstreet Boys
  4. From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart by Britney Spears
  5. Unappreciated by Cherish
  6. Hurt by Christina Aguilera
  7. Until I Get Over You by Christina Millian
  8. Tell Me One More Time by Gareth Gates
  9. Too Little Too Late by JoJo
  10. The Trouble Love With Love Is by Kelly Clarkson
  11. Torn by LeToya Luckett
  12. Littlest Things by Lily Allen
  13. That Day You Went Away by M2M
  14. What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts
  15. Unfaithful by Rihanna
  16. Photo by Ryan Cabrera
  17. You Don't See Me by Paris Hilton
  18. Semusim by Marcell
  19. Aku Bukan Untukmu by Rossa
  20. Bukan Diriku by Samson
  21. Kenangan Terindah by Samson
  22. Aku Patut Membenci Dia by Tere

Break-up songs.. what do you expect? Of course most of them are slow songs. Huhu.. I still remember that I kept singing My Happy Ending after I broke up with my ex. I would have played that song again and again on my computer. I would turned on the volume to the max and sang loudly + screamed at the top of my lungs. Emo ekh? Because the song is sooooo truuue!

During that time, I also listened to the 'motivated' songs such as Smile by Lily Allen and Straightjacket Feeling and Move Along by The All-American Rejects, I Belong To Me by Jessica Simpson, I'm Not Missing You by Stacie Orrico, Sorry by Ashlee Simpson and definitely PUNK ROCK SONGS!!! Seriously, if you're broken-hearted you should listen to the rock songs. They will make you feel much-much better. ;o)

But there are also a few break-up songs I don't like especially with the lyrics are like reminiscing the memories too much, wants the person back and sounds like don't move on with life. Somethings like I'm Missing You by First Lady (I don't like most of her songs indeed), We Belong Together, Don't Forget About Us, I Still Believe by Mariah Carey and such. But hey, I tell you one secret. I got hooked with this kind of song. Only one song. And the darn lucky song is Come Back To Me by Vanessa Hudgens. -_-" I don't know why I like this song. Probably because of the music. It's very catchy. But still, I can't stop singing this song at the moment and I hate the video clip also. Urgh!

Anyway, here's the new single from MCR. I Don't Love You.

p/s : Is this another break-up songs? *shrugs*

Oceansize - New Pin

This is another WEIRDEST video clip I've ever seen. I mean it. Two thumbs up for the editing job. It's kinda creepy for some viewer but I love the creativeness. Check it out! ;)

For those who likes the song, you might want to download it. Here is the download link. I uploaded it on RapidShare.

The Black Parade

Today is 8th October.
On 13th October is my darling Nana's birthday.
On 24th October the Muslims probably will celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri
And on 24th also.......

THE BLACK PARADE IS COMING OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

MCR - The Black Parade

I can't wait for the MCR new album!! Have you heard the new single, "Welcome To The Black Parade"? Their music is something really really new. Once again, it's totally different! I've heard some of the new songs also. According to Gerard, the album will contain some really dark stuff and some touches of Queen and The Doors. And there's some really experimental parts that sound a bit like System Of A Down. But all of that is mixed with a big shot of My Chemical Romance. He also said that the album is way more dramatic, way more theatrical, completely over the top, borderline psychotic. It's the most pure, intense thing they've ever been involved in.

The Black Parade is a story of a man, known as 'The Patient' who dies in a hospital. He goes on an odyssey and examines his life and the mistakes he has made. His strongest memory is his dad taking him to a parade when he was a child. So when death comes for him, it comes in the form of a black parade. It is speculated that The Patient dies of cancer, due to a song on the CD called "Cancer", as well as Gerard saying he cut and dyed his hair bleach blonde to look like The Patient, and his new look resembles a man who's gone through chemotherapy.

Bassist Mikey darkened his hair and no longer wears glasses. Awwww! He looks even cuter now. But i miss Mikey when he wears glasses. Huhu.. Frank and Bob are also trying new hairstyles. But Ray, of course he will always maintain with his afro.

Their cool new outfit!

The band's logo has been changed and resembles the font used in The Black Parade logo.

The slogan "We Are the Black Parade" is saying that the fans can also be a part of this and they are also The Black Parade.

Gareth and Siti? My Fav!

*kuuuuuurrrrrr..... krrrrrrruuuuuuu* -_-"

Erk.. that's my stomach. I don't know what tune it's playing now. Hehe.. today is the second day im fasting. It's June already and July is coming then not long after that Muslims will having a fasting month so i decided to ganti puasa. Hurm... i really need to talk with Nana right now. But she can't online now and she just coming back from school. =( Hurm..

Nothing interesting happened at school today. We all busy copying, as usual. During EST period, Pn. Sarjit, rushly enter my class. After we all wished her, she said:

"Im in a very bad mood today so blalalalla......"

Erk.. Hello~! (im trying to say it with her slang) So what if you're in a bad mood? Does it mean that we all have to care bout your feeling? We have to watch out with every single word that we're gonna say? Puhhlezz.. You never care bout our feeling when you're talking but want we to care bout yours... yerkk! Hoho..

Owh yea.. I don't know why lately i keep singing Gareth Gates's songs in my mind. Weirrd.. Gareth Gates used to be my obsession you know. Haha.. yea.. say whatever you want but i still like him no matter what! I wonder why some people critique his voice so much? His voice sounds very very nice and harmony to me yet sounds like a girl to some people. You guys just weirrd okay? Haha.. Now i miss to listen to him. I wonder where i put the cassettes.. Hoho! yea.. cassette.. i know it's lame. So what? Gareth Gates's first album which is titled What My Heart Wants To Say is the first original album i bought when i was twelve. My Chemical Romance

From left: Bob(Drummer), Frank(2nd Guitarist), Gerard(Vocalist, Lyrics Writer), Mikey(Bassist), Ray(1st Guitarist)

MCR ROCKS!!! I don't know how to say this but i just want to let you know that i've officially become MCRmy!! Hehe! instead using MCR Fan, we use MCRmy. Remember just like Gerard Butler? His fan being called the Tart. Ok! When i told my friends that i've become MCRmy, they quite suprised to know that. Yeah, even i didn't believe myself! How come i can suddenly fell in love with this kind of band? Well, their music itself is very good man! Im not like other fangirlish who only like their single hit, Helena. I've downloaded some of their songs from the second album, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge and it's awesome! This is the first album and band as well which generally more to Emo-Punk, Metal and Rock that i ever liked.

You know what? Before this i always thought that this kind of music, i mean punk, metal and all these stuff is some kind of rubbish. Huhuh...becoz, im kinda anti-punk so i thought everything that related to punk is bullshit even the music. Haha..I also don't know how i got hooked with them. Herm..i think maybe it is from their first single, Im Not Okay which used to be Burnout 3:Takedown OST. Yeah! I like to play Burnout and i think all the songs in Burnout 3 are more pleasant to my ear. And, Im Not Okay is one of them. Later, when their second single, Helena released, they're getting well known. Actually, i also don't know who they are and i even didn't hear Helena yet when they getting famous but thanks to my lovely buddies, Ellina and Shaz for pushing me to hear that song.

When i was listening to Helena for the first time, i was like.."im wondering why Shaz & Ellin love this rubbish song"....but when i was listening to it for the second time im getting to like it coz the music is somehow sad but full with hatred. Then, my sisters also getting like Helena so much. So, it's just stuck in my head to search more bout MCR.

So, right now i feel my life somehow completed. Ok, not really my life but my interest. Check this out:

My Favourite Actor: Gerard Butler
My Favourite Singer: Gareth Gates
My Favourite Movie: The Phantom Of The Opera
My Favourite Band: My Chemical Romance

About them:
Based in New Jersey, My Chemical Romance is an alternative pop/rock and punk-pop band that has been compared to Thursday and, to a lesser degree, Cursive. Many of their songs are loud, fast, hyper, and aggressive, but My Chemical Romance's work also tends to be melodic and pop-minded. My Chemical Romance got started in the early 2000s, when lead singer Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier decided to try writing some songs together. The first tune that Way and Pelissier -- who had been friends since high school -- came up with was called "Skylines and Turnstiles" (a title reflecting the fact that Way had been working in New York City, where he was in the animation field). Way and Pelissier both felt good about the song, and Way asked guitarist Ray Toto if he would be interested in working with them. My Chemical Romance's five-man lineup was complete when Way, Pelissier, and Toto joined forces with bassist Mikey Way (Gerard Way's brother) and guitarist Frank Iero. With that lineup in place, the band started playing all around the Northeast Corridor and made plans to begin working on its first album.

In 2002, Eyeball Records (the New York-based indie that Thursday had recorded for) released My Chemical Romance's debut album, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love. The album was often compared to Thursday -- a comparison that, for various reasons, was inevitable and unavoidable. Both bands were from New Jersey, both had recorded for Eyeball, and both combined punk-pop's musical aggression with introspective, confessional lyrics. Plus, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love was produced by Geoff Rickly, Thursday's lead singer -- add all of those things up, and there was no way that My Chemical Romance was going to escape Thursday comparisons. But Thursday isn't their only influence; reviewers have cited the Smiths, Morrissey, the Cure, and the Misfits as influences. And Way has even cited British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden as an influence.

Lyrically, I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love is as dark as it is introspective and cathartic; Way has been quoted as saying that the band's lyrics were a great way for him to deal with the problems he had been going through (which included severe depression and a serious illness in his family). The 2002 release included Way and Pelissier's first song, "Skylines and Turnstiles," and many of the album's other song titles were equally intriguing, including "Honey, This Mirror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us," "Drowning Lessons," "Headfirst for Halos," "Our Lady of Sorrows," and "Vampires Will Never Hurt You." In 2003, My Chemical Romance signed with Reprise/Warner Bros.

Their Second Album "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" was released in late 2004. The First single "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", a high speed anthem for the contiually downtrodden and rejected, caught America off-guard and put MCR (My Chemical Romance) in the spotlight almost overnight.

The second single "Helena" a slow almost haunting ballad dedicated to Elena Rush (the Way brothers' late grand mother.) Brings to mind "The Cure", other noteworthy songs on the album are "The Ghost of You", "Thank You for The Venom" and "To The End". My chemical Romance was also Featured on this years "A Taste Of Chaos" tour this spring and also go a half hour concert special on the "Fuse" music network.
